Among the components of the S&P BSE Utilities index, SJVN Ltd (down 11.41%), NHPC Ltd (down 5.06%),Rattanindia Power Ltd (down 4.98%),PTC India Ltd (down 3.57%),JSW Energy Ltd (down 2.05%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Gujarat Industries Power Co Ltd (down 1.95%), Tata Power Company Ltd (down 1.87%), Va Tech Wabag Ltd (down 1.75%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (down 1.61%), and NTPC Ltd (down 1.59%). On the other hand, Nava Ltd (up 13.8%), Waaree Renewables Technologies Ltd (up 3.06%), and Adani Power Ltd (up 2.54%) moved up. At 13:45 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 598.15 or 0.9% at 66202.69. The Nifty 50 index was down 163.55 points or 0.82% at 19737.85. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 239.92 points or 0.64% at 37170.58. The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 85.03 points or 0.76% at 11174.32. On BSE,1338 shares were trading in green, 2213 were trading in red and 185 were unchanged.
