Mainland China share market finished session mixed on Thursday, 30 November 2023, as risk sentiments muted amid raising concerns about the trajectory of the world's second-largest economy after official manufacturing purchasing managers data showed that China's factory activity experienced a second consecutive month of contraction in November.
At close of trade, the benchmark Shanghai Composite index was up 0.26%, or 7.99 points, to 3,029.67. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.35%, or 6.64 points, to 1,883.21. The blue-chip CSI300 index climbed up 0.23%, or 7.83 points, to 3,496.20.
CURRENCY NEWS: China's yuan was little changed against the dollar on Thursday. In the spot market, the onshore yuan CNY=CFXS yuan was changing hands around 7.1250 at midday, little changed from the previous late session close.
