Trading of Nifty 50 index futures on the Singapore stock exchange indicates that the Nifty could rise 55 points at the opening bell. Domestic stock markets will remain open for special Muhurat trading session today, 7 November 2018 between 17:15 IST and 18:30 IST. Stock markets will remain shut tomorrow, 8 November 2018 on account of Diwali Balipratipada.

Back home, amid a divergent trend among various index constituents, the key benchmark indices settled with small gains yesterday, 6 November 2018. The Sensex settled a tad below the psychological 35,000 level after moving above and below that level amid volatility in intraday trade. The Sensex rose 40.99 points or 0.12% to settle at 34,991.91.

The trading activity on that day showed that the foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 499.71 crore yesterday, 6 November 2018, as per provisional data released by the stock exchanges. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 118.69 crore yesterday, 6 November 2018, as per provisional data.
