Among the components of the S&P BSE Power index, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd (down 4.95%), Siemens Ltd (down 2.74%),Adani Transmission Ltd (down 1.4%),Adani Power Ltd (down 0.73%),NTPC Ltd (down 0.67%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Thermax Ltd (down 0.64%), ABB India Ltd (down 0.25%), NHPC Ltd (down 0.21%), and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (down 0.03%). On the other hand, K E C International Ltd (up 1.17%), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (up 1.02%), and Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 0.88%) moved up. At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 278.11 or 0.69% at 40564.59. The Nifty 50 index was up 70.6 points or 0.59% at 11942.7. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 11.93 points or 0.09% at 13355.61. The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 24.51 points or 0.53% at 4659.03. On BSE,1116 shares were trading in green, 1294 were trading in red and 136 were unchanged.
